Emergency Assistance

When and How do we Assist?

We respond to all Emergencies within Sun City West and in some cases are called upon by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to assist with traffic control at major intersections connecting to our streets.

Once we arrive at the scene we access the situation and then apply our training accordingly.

A few of our duties when assisting at an emergency situation are:

  • Traffic Control
  • Crowd Control
  • Emergency Responders Equipment Security
  • Emergency Personnel Safety
  • The safety of the injured if appllicable
  • To assist the Fire Captain or MCSO Deputy on scene if called upon

Open Garage Doors

We’ll notify you or a designated person should we discover an unattended, open garage door while on night patrol.

This is probably the most important of all services available to our residents.

With an open garage door ANYONE can enter your garage … uninvited. There goes that nice set of golf clubs you just purchased. Leave the keys in the ignition of your golf cart or vehicle because you ALWAYS close the garage door? Gone! Oh, did you lock the service door between the house and garage? No? One has to shudder at the thought of what could happen now.

Animals can and have entered through an open garage door. Coyotes, Bobcats, Javelina and of course Rattlesnakes are hunting for food or a warm place to sleep overnight. You go out in the morning and a Rattler is hiding behind a box or by a car tire. That’s more than enough reason to keep it closed.
